Message From COO

Majumder Group is a 3rd generation family-run, export-oriented business operating for over 57 years. My late grandfather laid the business foundations in 1964 with Jute and Timber being the primary businesses. The rise of plastic industries caused a sharp decline in the demand for Jute products. In early 1980s, the 2nd generation family, my father and his brothers, took early initiatives for urgent diversification and ventured into the RMG sector. From early 2000 and onward, the 3rd generation family, my cousin and myself, are in charge of operations and further expansions.

We have a very ‘’hands on’’ approach in managing our business. Over the years, we have formed both intricate and long-standing partnerships with our employees, buyers, suppliers and other stakeholders. We value this very much and it is at the very core of our business. Our utmost priority has always been client support and satisfaction, workers safety and rights, ethical and transparent operations and to grow our business sustainably.

Businesses are becoming increasingly challenging to manage. Speedy technological progress, combined with unpredictable market volatilities, make it very tough to map future plans & strategies. Our strong partnerships, financial strength and market reputation will be key factors to our survival and growth during such times.

The past 10 years of unparalleled challenges have really tested us as a business. These trials and tribulations have not only taught us to stand strong but also to be agile and to adapt to new ways of survival. We have set our goal for the next 10 years, and that is to become a company with one of the best practices in the country. This mission we hope to achieve by strengthening our 4Ps (Pillars) - Practices | People | Product | Planet.

Over the next few years, we plan to significantly expand both in the RMG and non-RMG sectors in Bangladesh. To achieve this, we are continuously investing in our people and in new technologies. Bangladesh as a country has immense opportunities and potentials. We take pride in our products and we want to take the “Made in Bangladesh” label to the world. This is the story that we are grateful to be a part of and are fully committed to continue playing our role in the years ahead. That is our vision.

Your sincerely
Syed Sajjad
